I genuinely like their food. However, we did NOT get the steamed rice that we had ordered.

We jsut had them deliver for our group and it was wonderful. Everyone in the office was impressed with the food they delivered

For Chinese food delivery in Seattle the food was pretty good. However after ordering from them twice I have to say I'm quite irritated to see that they've pulled their delivery area in to 1 mile which leaves me out. Order for Pickup? NOT A CHANCE!

Really good food. Usually they are quick with the delivery, but today took about 20 minutes longer than expected.
Be mindful of the 10% delivery charge, not something I'm used to seeing on eat24. You could end up tipping way more than you meant to like I just did today!

This is one of my favorite restaurants. Good food, fast service.

Fast Delivery and Good Food!
Posted by Lianne on 06/14/2011
Waited well over an hour for food that came cold. Quality was low and it does not mention that no rice is included. We have two dishes of battered chicken with no sauce and no rice. A total waste of money and time.

Should have walked to restaurant. Delivery very slow. Lunch & dinner menu are excellent. Dim sum was HORRIBLE. Don't order the Phoenix claws. It's not crab. It's chicken feet! Egg & congee was a mass of gel. Beef & parsley roll was like glue.

We have ordered delivery from this place for the last 3 times we have wanted chinese food. I LOVE the sizzling rice soup!! I think it is the only place in the City that delivers it and it is my favorite. We have tried their sesame chicken, which was good, and they serve a large quantity. Oh, I wanted to mention that the sizzling rice soup has lots of fresh seafood!! I welcomed surprise. In Seattle, I have only had sizzing rice soup with chicken and a few pieces of char siu. AND with this past order, they gave us a yummy dumpling order for dessert. I highly recommend Tea Garden for delivery. They are fast and the food is yummy!!

I live within 1-2 miles of this restaurant and it took over an hour for delivery. It was not worth the wait. the food was bland and greasy and so americanized. low quality ingredients.
Posted by Samantha on 03/10/2011
Good sizzling rice soup, but the appetizer combo was very disappointing. A few pieces of BBQ pork and 4 cheese filled deep fried things along with 4 fried shrimp and 2eggrolls just wasn't worth $14!!!!

CONSISTENTLY GREAT FOOD!!
Posted by Lloyd on 02/18/2011
We like the food more than other places. Unfortunately, both times we ordered delivery they arrived late, and thus the food has been cold. Also, I do not appreciate forced gratuities, it defeats the purpose of a "gratuity". We might try once more, but so far, not looking good.

The food is really good, I recommend the Tea Garden to any chinese food lover. Delivery was fast. I had the wonton soup and mangolian beef. The wonton soup is to die for.

The best Mongolian beef I ever had, but with the addition of the $5 delivery fee (used to be free), I am not returning. :( Get a delivery fee that is affordable, then I may return.

Fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Super fast and good! Great portions!

most of my experience with this place has been good. this time around i ordered black pepper beef hotplate, sweet and sour beef arrived, something my brother find tasteless while i find it extremely disgusting and inedible. i know i ordered 30 mnts before closing time, i understand the feeling of wanting to hurry n close the store, but get the order correct and cook it properly. this is something i wanted to the attention of the restaurant if they are reading this, coz i feel like ive just wasted 28 bucks on food i wanted to throw out immediately as soon as i took the first bite and will definitely makes me think twice about ordering again.

Not the best dim sum I've had, but they deliver, and the food is pretty decent. Relatively decent service, too.

Started to order lunch, then noticed that a $5.99 dish had turned into a $12.99 total, greatly due to the high delivery charge and 15% gratuity.
Since there is no serving being done, it is not clear what the gratuity is for. Will the restaurant pay it back to whoever in the customer's party is acting as the server?
The $5 delivery charge is simply out of line with the delivery charge assessed by most other restaurants on here, with many of them having no such charge and $2-3 seeming to be the typical max. The Dim Sum menu looks nice, and the lunch menu might be worth trying when out and about. However I think perhaps this restaurant is not very committed to the home delivery paradigm and should stick to pick up or dine in rather than tacking on odd/out of line charges.

Now they start to charge for gratuity, delivery time is longer than hour. This is 1.15 now & I'm still waiting. I called the restaurant, staff said it is on the way. Won't order from them anymore!

The delievery of the food was the fastest anywhere I have seen. The driver was extremely friendly. I wish I would have requested a menu, next time. We got alot of food.We had the pot stickers and although you only got 6,they were very good.We also had the Kung Pao Chicken,it was some what bland, but good. And the Gerenal Tsao's Chicken and the Pork Fried Rice. The Rice was very good,we just didn't get enough? All the food was extremely fresh and hot when it reached us,which was less than 30 min from the time we placed the order. I used my CC online and it went right through and I was able to print a reciept for my records. For the amount of money we paid,we could have gotten the meal for two,HA!Yes we will be ordering from them again.

Great food, quic delivery, just plain awesome!

most chinese food places in seattle are so-so imo. tea garden, however, is comparable to san francisco and vancouver bc chinatown food.
Posted by Andrew on 04/05/2010
The BBQ pork fried rice is very good. I also got some honey walnut prawns and it taste amanzing! Will definetely order from Tea Garden again.
Posted by Lucky on 04/05/2010
in a pinch I suppose the food is ok, the beef seemed weird - gonna stick with vegetarian next time
Posted by Sarah on 03/28/2010
Wow this is by far the best stir fried rice I have had in Seattle. The Honey Almond chicken is fabulously mouth watering. Our driver was super nice too. I am very excited to find a great alternative to pizza delivery.

The soup was soooo good!

My food came in exactly 30mins. It was very good, just as good as china town. Got my favorite, the singapore rice noodles and a couple things from the dim sum menu. all were yummy

very happy with the food and delivery!

Great food. Timely delivery.

I usually hate delivery, but this is some good basic Chinese. I ordered the kung pao tofu and the curry vegetables, both were totally awesome. They forgot one of the orders of spring rolls but got them 15 minutes after I called and informed them - It was an honest mistake and not a huge deal. I generally prefer Thai but after a massive disappointment from Mae Phim I took a chance on this place and haven't ordered from another place since. Totally recommended and will be ordering again soon.

Every time I've ordered, the food has been fresh and great! Definitely my go to restaurant for Chinese delivery. Very happy with this place and their service!!!

great! love you guys, the order isn't even here yet but i'm sure it'll be prompt and just dynamite!

Fantastic in every way. Wonderfully friendly delivery man. Quick delivery right to our room in the hotel and good price. The food was great, my family wanted to order from them the second night too. Definitely will order from Tea Garden again.
Posted by Michael on 01/03/2010
I really do like Tea Garden. Their prices are excellent and their food is pretty good. I love their dim sum. I only wish they would widen the dim sum variety. The delivery is really fast!

I live less that 1 mile it took over an hour for my order, and then when i called the restaurant to find out where my order was they hung up on me at least 7 times...Poor customer service

Good food. fast service!

The fried fish was ok. The spicy dumbling was not bad, but not great. The hot and sour soup was just like the other places. Overall, this place isn't great, but not bad.
Posted by Wunho on 10/17/2009
The food was hot and good. They delivered on time, the delivery man was nice. I will definately order delivery from them again. So nice to have something besides pizza delivered.
Posted by Cheryl on 10/14/2009
We love the food from this restaurant and they deliver the food in a timely manner.
Posted by Vanessa on 08/09/2009
I ordered a fish fillet. the sauce is good but the fish is not good. The fish still has a lot of bones which should be not, because it is a fish fillet mix with sauce. The wonton soup was goods. The delivery I was fast.
Overall it is ok. But I'll order one more time to see if it is better than before.
Posted by Yenny on 07/31/2009
I love that they deliver dim sum!! They have some tasty things to try, and you can get 6 before you reach the minimum order.
The one downside... the last few times I've ordered from here, the total (that I confirmed on the website) is crossed out, and a new total $2.00 higher is written in. Generally, I just take that out of the tip.
Posted by Zachary on 07/18/2009
It's great to be able to order Dim Sum delivered! It's not the same as actually going out for it, but the food was just as good. The Rundown:
Steamed BBQ Pork Rolls - you get 3, they are awesome, hard to decide who gets the last one.
Baked BBQ Pork Rolls - 3 again, also awesome!
Satay Beef Honey Comb - Didn't know what it was when I ordered it, won't order it again as it was creepy looking and smelled funny, just not my kinda thing.
Beef Ball with Vegetable - Looked weird, tasted great!
Mini Sticky Rice In Lotus Wrap - Super tasty, warning for those who don't expect it: it has meat mixed into it.
Deep Fried Shrimps and Taro Spring Roll - Passable, not the super best ones ever but quite tasty.
Deep Fried Prawns with Chives Dumplings - As good as when you go in person!
Pork Shu Mai with Chinese Mushroom - Give it a chance and you won't be sorry.
We ordered a bit too much food for two people, but leftovers are pretty good. It's nice to be able to order just about as much as you think you're hungry for

Very tasty. Great portions for $$$. Fast service. Fresh, delicious ingredients. Packaging is a bit messy though. Comes in styrofoam containers that leak. So could improve there, but, on the whole, a great place to get Chinese food from. So nice to have another choice other than pizza.
