We waited about 1.5 to 2 hours for the food (ultimately, we cancelled our order). When we called to ask about our food (after an hour), we didn't get a chance to even tell the woman our order number. Order arrived almost 1 hour later than stated on order. I have ordered from this place many times, but the last 2 times, delivery has been well over the 45-60 minute delivery window. In addition, the amount of rice supplied with the meal was only enough for one person, even though 2 entrees were ordered. I will not be ordering from this restaurant again. although the food was delicious, there was very little meat or chicken in the in the sauce - maybe half the quantity I receive from other restaurants. We had to hunt for it and none of us got enough to eat without just eating lots of sauce and rice. I was very disappointed and felt cheated as well as embarrassed since we had guests over to join us. We've ordered from this place a couple times. And the food isn't bad, but they never bring tamarind or mint sauces with their appetizers. Last time, they called us and were rude enough that we cancelled our order. The restaurant then called this website to complain about us? Really--there are so many other places to order in from. I don't know why I kept on ordering -- probably because it was the only Indian option. (Now there's Tandoori Hut, which is 100000% better.) The food is mediocre, but what makes this place horrible is the service. The chef's samosa special was fantastic (best samosas I've had). Tandori mix was a little dry and butter chicken was pretty good. Would definitely order again. Ordered once for a work meeting and food came an hour later than they said it would. Offered no apologies but it was very good food so I tried to order again last night and the delivery guy never came! He said he was next to my house but I had to go outside 3 times to look for him. He got frustrated and hung up. I was starving so after 2 hours of waiting I finally called to the actual restaurant and the guy was such a jerk on the phone that I just canceled the order! Laadla is hands-down the best Indian food in the city of Seattle. I have a passion for good Indian food, and so I've made it a point to shop around. Having been a Laadla fan for a long time, I am routinely disappointed when I go to most other restaurants. Most times I end up feeling like I should have simply gone to Laadla. Our meal was almost an hour late, when we called in the first person hung up on us twice. The second person we talked to said the delivery driver tried calling us "many times" but neither my wife nor myself EVER received a call. They said we didnt list an apartment number but it clearly says in our information that we are the second floor of a duplex. I even checked their print out when they FINALLY got here. The price and customer service will keep my family from ever ordering from them again. What was supposed to be a delicious treat before I went to my night job became an angering rushed meal. The food is ok, but if I had to choose an Indian restaurant I would definitely choose a different one. I Ordered from here once and the delivery took forever, I ordered Butter Chicken, Salad, and Kheer and they forgot the kheer, the chicken had git, and bone, and muscles all in it, and it was not all that great. The following day I went in to get what they forgot and gave it a second chance and the chicken was the same. I would go somewhere else! Which sucks because they are rediculously close to me! Thumbs down. Why? Twice now the delivery driver has all but REFUSED to actually come in the building and delivery my order. If I wanted to get my shoes on, a bra on, lock up the dogs, go down the elevator and around to the BACK of the building I'd just get in my car and go pick up food instead of having it delivered. I seriously caught myself saying the words "Can you please just park, come to the front door, get buzzed in and come upstairs with my items like everybody else does??" WTF? My big qualm with this place is the customer service is just terrible. The food is just "ok". I have had a lot of Indian food and this place is unfortunately very low on the totem pole. I think their food is actually okay. I've had the chicken tikka masala and palak paneer several times. However, I don't order from here anymore because the last time I did, the delivery guy refused to come up to my apartment and insisted I come downstairs and meet him outside. He said he was parked illegally. I know for a fact there is a ton of parking at all hours just around the corner from the building. Food was very good and the delivery took only 20 minutes...which is incredible really. My only complaint is that the quantity of 2 items seemed rather chintzy for the price paid. Aloo Gobi is mainly cauliflower and for $12.00 I'd expect much more than a pint. The Chicken Tikka Masala was delicious but there was not much chicken...again only a pint for about $12.00. Ordered at 4:41 pm and it is 5:54 pm. The order is still not here. The restaurant management is full of attitude. Very poor customer service. Perfectly happy to wait an hour but after that it borders on ridiculous. Don't offer the service if you can't deliver. 6 PM- no call back from the restaurant, no food. They were 15 min late and went 1/2 a block to far...I received a phone call that the driver was lost...I had to walk to get my order from the driver which turned out to be a greasy bag that was torn and dripping grease...When I got home the food was luk warm and the lids on the container were melted. Indian food is one of my favorite cuisines but the Indian people still need to work on their desserts! Kheer is okay but don't call it pudding, it's cooked rice mixed with sweetened milk. There's nothing pudding-like about it. These guys offered banana shakes but I must say it tasted much like artificial banana than what I was hoping for. indian appetizers are hit and miss. their onion bahji was horrible, like leather. Their Onion Naan, which I always knew as Onion Kulcha, was excellent and their Samosa Chat, which I'd never seen before, is Superb!! The Muligatawny was a little watery but otherwise tasty and the entree I had, Chicken Korma, was fabulous. Very tasty food, reasonably priced. We especially like their Tikka Masala (tried paneer and cod). Serves plenty of rice with two entrees. The food was absolutely delicious! Everything we ordered was cooked exactly as specified (hot, mild, etc.) It was all very fresh, the rice was so new & fluffy! It was also packaged extremely well (NO LEAKS!!) The prices are more than reasonable & the portions are large enough for two or more meals! My husband hates spicy food, when I asked for his order to be extra mild, I thought it would be slightly bland or still too spicy, as is the case at most restaurants, but it was perfect!! He's not even that big of a fan of Indian food, but he absolutely loved it (the coconut curried lamb) This is the best dinner we've ever had delivered! I honestly can't say enough good things about this restaurant. We are not only going to be repeat customers, we're also huge fans! I would recommend this place to anyone who likes Indian food, is curious about trying it for the first time, or especially anyone who has had poor quality Indian food in the past & is willing to give it another go.
